Untangling
Her

Breaking Cycles While Raising Kids — And Somehow Rebuilding Myself Too.

Welcome to Untangling Her — a space for women healing from trauma while still deep in the mess of real life.

I was a teen mom. I’ve survived abuse, narcissistic relationships, family estrangement, and years of self-abandonment. I’m still healing while raising my children, working through my past, and slowly learning how to feel safe in my own body and mind again.

This blog is part journal, part survival guide, and part healing toolbox — because we all need something to hold onto while we untangle what we’ve been through.

Hi, I’m Heather.

I’m the woman behind *Untangling Her* — a raw, journal-style blog born from my own healing journey.

I’m a mom, writer, and survivor of childhood trauma, emotionally abusive relationships, and generational pain I’m still learning to unpack.

This space is where I process it all — one truth, one thread, one act of re-mothering at a time.

If you’ve ever felt alone in your healing, I hope you’ll find some part of yourself in these stories.

OUR HEALING JOURNEY

BREAKING CYCLES

At Untangling Her, I share what it’s like to break generational patterns while raising my daughter — and re-mothering myself at the same time.

This space is for women doing the deep, exhausting, and brave work of healing. Even when it’s messy. Even when it hurts.
You’re not alone here.

NURTURING RESILIENCE

Healing isn’t linear. Some days it feels like progress. Other days it feels like unraveling.

This blog is where I write through the in-between — what it means to feel broken, and still choose to rebuild.

We’re learning to meet our past with compassion, and to keep showing up for the women we’re becoming.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Healing can feel isolating — but it doesn’t have to be. Untangling Her is a space where you don’t have to pretend you’re fine.

Here, we share the hard stuff, sit in the truth, and remind each other we’re not alone. This is a space to remember the beauty and strength in vulnerability
